Josef Gabriel Rheinberger wrote the "Benedictus sit Deus" for choir with an obbligato organ part while spending his vacations in his home country Liechtenstein in the summer of 1861. He donated the short, but refined and expressive offertory to the church choir of St. Florin in Vaduz. Separate edition from: Supplementary Volume 4 of the Rheinberger Complete Works (Sacred choral works without opus numbers, Carus 50.300).
