Holiday. Composed by Josh Gottry. Score and parts. Duration 5:15. Published by C. Alan Publications (CN.17270).

Up beat, happy tune with a soft, quiet middle section. Ideal for sharing music of a traditional holiday celebration. Appropriate for young players, high school and even college during a holiday concert.

Of Hanukkah was arranged at the request of a family friend and former private student and in cooperation with the Corona del Sol High School Percussion Ensemble program. The intent was to create an exciting percussion ensemble work which incorporated the games, music, and spirit of the Hanukkah celebration. Gradually weaving between four pieces - S'vivon, O Hanukkah, Maoz Tzur, and Mi Y'malel - this arrangement features several high-energy moments as well as a beautiful chorale and a brief playful canon. Scored for ten players, this piece would be an excellent addition for any high school or college percussion ensemble holiday performance.
