In my dream, I composed “Obsidian” for this beautiful violinist. Obsidian has fractures with sharp edges, the sharpest of all violinists....the most glamorous and dangerous of violinists. Like her piercing stare and unwavering focus, Obsidian originates from lava flow of an exploding volcano. Kinga creates the coolest sounds, forging a cooling barrier to turn the molten magma into a stunning piece of solid rock. Obsidian employs this dichotomy of beauty and danger through pounding notes and glassy effects with harmonics and flying pizzicato.
