This is an arrangement of O Tannenbaum (O Christmas Tree), for the intermediate pianist, which received an excellent review in Clavier. This arrangement uses an Alberti bass which gives it a gentle music box feel throughout.
The arrangement begins in G major and then modulates to g minor with some variation including some hand over hand pedal points for a beautiful contrast. The arrangement finishes, back in the original key of G Major, in a very light mood by also modulating an octave higher which, when combined with the Alberti bass, sounds like a music box.
