This lively rendition of the popular carol (set to the Forest Green melody) is sure to get feet tapping. The tune is simplified and syncopated, starting with a soprano melody over SA doo's in the first verse before the alto takes over in the second. The third verse is msotly acapella, featuring the tight harmonies in the voices. A "Hope of Israel" theme takes over the interludes and weaves through various parts throughout the piece, culminating in a soprano descant in the final verse over a second soprano melody. Great for community choruses and women's choirs looking for an upbeat, fresh take on an old classic.
