SSAA acapella. This haunting arrangement of the familiar Advent tune will show off the voices as modified chord structures draw attention from the audience. S1 takes the melody in the first verse over an SAA drone. The second verse highlights an A1 repetitive chant as the S2 takes over the melody halfway through and keeps it the rest of the piece. S1 floats a descant in the third verse as the altos reprise the first-verse drone, with everyone coming together in the end, culminating in a unison final tone. Great for church groups, holiday women's choirs and women's caroling quartets!
