Composed by John F. Wade. Arranged by Julie Hinton. This edition: pdf. A Cappella, Advent, Christian, Christmas, Holiday. 11 pages. Red Tape Productions #1169178. Published by Red Tape Productions (A0.1598407).

SATB acapella. From Julie Hinton's REJOICE album (2025). This majestic arrangement puts a slight gospel feel onto the classic carol. Set in 12/8, this version starts lush and only grows from there into a triumphant anthem suitable to end a show. Run time 3:35.

The first verse opens with a soprano melody as the other parts pulse the modified chords underneath. The inner parts take over the rhythm during the bridge before reverting back for the end of the verse. The second verse is a soprano/alto/tenor trio over a rythmic bass line, repeating the style of the bridge in the middle. A final key change brings us to the third and final verse where the bass gets to sing a melodic harmony and the inner parts take over the rhythmic duties. In the last half, the soprano switches to a descant over an alto/tenor duet which leads everyone to a choral tag and joyful ending. The melody switches between all four parts at times in the final two verses. Written for 4 voices, it can be done in a caroling group or full choir. Great for professional quartets, advanced school choirs or community ensembles!

Also available in piano/vocal, and SATB and SSA with piano accompaniment. The audio demo comes from the beginning of the third verse.
