EXCELLENT DUET OF O CANADA!
I have been looking forward to a well written duet of O Canada. The thoughtfulness of this arrangement is in four ways:1. Attention given to both the primo and secondo parts so each shares the melody respectively.2. The arranger transposed this to the key of D so the pianists can accompany an assembly to sing. She also included both the French and English lyrics.3. I really like how she used treble and bass claves in both parts with the instructions to play either an octave higher for the primo or an octave lower for the secondo.4. The use of dynamics and accents add to the overall appeal to this arrangement.With the arranger being a music teacher, she understands well the pedagogical elements needed to expand students' musicianship both in terms of performance and learning the art of accompanying a singing group. However, it is a definite stretch for the late beginner and would recommend it for the intermediate level players.
