Now I See is an intriguing Jazz treatment of Amazing Grace in 5/4 time for an Advanced Intermediate SATB Choral Group. The song is probably familiar to many but it has some very distinctive characteristics about it that make this arrangement shine:* Close harmonies, enough to be interesting but not too austere.* Alternate rhythms, The whole piece is in 5/4. But, even with that, there are some places where one or more voices precedes the others in stepped entrances.* While Sopranos and Tenors share singing the melody, the other parts are busy providing some interesting support, often changing chords under the melody note. * Bright key change. It changes from G to A, an exhilarating sound without reaching too far.This piece is great for concert, contest, and worship.Since the accompaniment can be a little tricky, there is a separate piano part to reduce the number of page turns. And, because it is a jazz piece, it also has guitar chords for a somewhat advanced guitarist.
