This arrangement for wind quintet brings out the raucousness of the main section, and the slightly mysterious character of the middle part. Ideal for players of intermediate standard, and a great programme filler. (N. B. The original music has been transposed up a semitone, mainly to accommodate the clarinet, but also to make effective use of the lowest notes of the oboe and bassoon. The minor key looks tricky, but is actually perfectly practicable!).
