Northern Landscapes draws its inspiration from a December 2019 journey to Máncora, a coastal city and renowned beach resort in Peru's northwestern Piura region. With no direct flights available, the overland route from the nearest airport winds for an hour through stunning desert terrain—endless valleys and majestic canyons painted in luminous shades of yellow, orange, and brown. It was this remarkable landscape, experienced at speed from a moving vehicle, that sparked the creation of Northern Landscapes. The piece seeks to capture the essence of traveling swiftly through this vibrant, ever-changing scenery.
