Norfolk Rhapsody No. 1 for Orchestra by Ralph Vaughan Williams Full Orchestra - Digital Sheet Music

By Ralph Vaughan Williams

English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872-1958) was fond of using his country’s folk music in his compositions. Norfolk Rhapsody uses several songs from the English county of Norfolk including “The Captain’s Apprentice”, “The Bold Young Sailor”. and “A Basket of Eggs”. The work has a considerable maritime flavor due to the inclusion of these particular folk songs. It was premiered in 1906, revised in 1914, and first published in 1925. This new edition is based on the original publication. Several editorial changes were made to the original score including an update to modern instrumentation. As with all Zephyrwindmusic publications, parts come with an Unlimited Copy License, thus removing any copyright issues in the way parts are used.
