As Christmas fulfills the prophecies of the coming Messiah, so Easter fulfills the prophecies of His finished work. And the music of Noel Nouvelet (Christmas Anew) is the melody of the beloved Christmas hymn, also serving as music for the Easter hymn “Now the Green Blade Rises”. Thus this Organ Fantasy (including not only a fantasia-styled arrangement but also new material) is appropriate for both Christmas and Easter.
