By WW1 Soldiers Parody. Composed by Charles Crozat Converse; Tune: "What A Friend We Have In Jesus". Arranged by Chris Owen. This edition: pdf, streaming. 19th Century, A Cappella, Broadway, Historic, Musical/Show, Show Choir. 4 pages. Chris Owen #1327545. Published by Chris Owen (A0.1767126).

This World War 1 soldiers parody features in the film and musical "Oh! What a Lovely War". This SAAB (or SSAB) arrangement has the tune ("What A Friend We Have In Jesus", Charles Crozat Converse 1968) as the male lead, with Soprano and Alto forming a kind of "Angelic Barbershop" backing! This puts in mind a church service where the soldiers, gently subversive, change the words of the hymn to their own, more pithy, version.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
