Swan Lake Op. 20 is a ballet composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1875–76. Despite its initial failure, it is now one of the most popular of all ballets. The Neapolitan Dance occurs in Act III of the ballet. It was famously danced in the 1980s in London’s Covent Garden by Wayne Sleep and Rosemary Taylor. This arrangement for SATB Saxophone Quartet features the soprano saxophone in a slower section at the beginning followed by a lively vivace section, which is then repeated. The duration is 2:22.
