This song has been performed by many artists, but the most successful version was recorded by Nat King Cole. The record first reached the Billboard Charts in 1948. David Bowie's version was a major theme in the musical film Moulin Rouge! (2001). This arrangement provides in a beautiful euphonium solo at the beginning followed by a superb saxophone choir with beautiful harmonics. In the middle there is a 'James Last-like' swinging part, and the closing revisits the opening style.
