Nabucodonosor is the original title of that opera, which is considered to have permanently established Giuseppe Verdi's reputation as a composer. Today it is known under its abbreviation Nabucco. It was written in 1841 and premiered on 9 March 1842 at La Scala in Milan. It had great success at once. The arrangement of the overture was written one half tone higher than the original and was first time performed by the academy orchestra of Mozarteum Wind Philharmonic Salzburg conducted by master students at a concert at Mozarteum University in Salzburg in October 2013.
