Sven Van Calster had the idea to dedicate a three-movement suite to his three favourite pets. So he created a fun, informative and original composition. The work begins with Freddy the Frog, splashing merrily in his pond. Ish the Fish is a cool customer who’s always hungry. And Kate the Cat is a vain and charming cat who naturally always gets her own way.

Sven Van Calster kwam op het idee om zijn lievelingshuisdieren in een driedelige suite te verwerken. Het resultaat was een grappige, leerrijke en originele compositie. Het werk begint met Freddy the Frog - die wel houdt van een frisse duik in z’n vijver. Ish the Fish is de coole, maar altijd hongerige goudvis. En Kate the Cat is de ijdele en sierlijke kat, die natuurlijk steeds haar zin krijgt.

Sven Van Calster hatte die Idee, seinen drei Lieblingshaustieren eine dreisätzige Suite zu widmen. Heraus kam eine lustige, lehrreiche und originelle Komposition. Das Werk beginnt mit Freddy the Frog, der munter in seinem Weiher planscht. Ish the Fish ist ein cooler, stets hungriger Goldfisch. Und Kate the Cat ist eine eitle, anmutige Katze, die natürlich immer ihren Kopf durchsetzt.

My Three Favorite Pets (Mes trois animaux préférés) est un titre qui ne nécessite pas de grandes explications. Freddy la grenouille, Ish le poisson rouge et Kate the Cat forment une bande de joyeux drilles, tout comme les jeunes musiciens placés sous votre baguette de chef !

Lavoro del direttore e compositore belga, che dedica ciascuno dei tre movimenti della composizione ai suoi tre animali domestici preferiti. Originale ed educativa, My Three Favorite Pets inizia con Freddy the Frog, la rana che sguazza allegramente nel suo stagno, prosegue con Ish the Fish, il pesciolino perennemente affamato e si conclude con Kate the Cat, la gatta vanitosa ed egoista.
