A Beautiful Lenten/Holy Week selection
I have loved this SSA setting of My Song Is Love Unknown for several years. It is a beautiful arrangement by Edwin T. Childs for SSAA with a lovely a cappella verse that is a bit challenging. The remainder of the verses are unison and two-part, with a little three-part. It sets the perfect mood with legato lines and a series of suspensions in the SSAA verse that are just gorgeous. I've used this at three churches now, and it's always well received. You might want an ensemble of your better singers, just because of the a cappella verse, but the rest is quite accessible. It's a good choice.
