By Mountain Mommas Fiddle Tunes. Composed by Sandy McIntire. This edition: pdf. Contemporary, Contest, Festival, Folk, Holiday, Traditional. 3 pages. Sandy McIntire #2163005. Published by Sandy McIntire (A0.697423).

My Own Jig is an original compostion by McIntire. It is a double jig in 6/8 time, two triplets per measure. Jigs are lively dance tunes that date back to the 17th Century in Ireland and Scotland. Today, fiddlers play jigs for contra dances, Irish/Scottish folk dances, and just for fun! The tune is in B Flat major which enables the player to stay in first position. Chords are provided for accompaniment.
