It is focused on a solo melody, - which is much like a Hindu mantra, - to which the other instruments respond with improvisations as they are brought in in sequence. The melody is played five times. The tempo is slow but free and the effect is meditative and hypnotic. Transposed melody parts have been provided for Bb and Eb instruments.
