Miles wrote the track in just half an hour, while killing time in Leeds between concerts. It's a relatively simple song - consisting of eight repeated lines extolling his love of music - but the rich, elaborate orchestration made it a pop landmark to rival MacArthur Park and Bohemian Rhapsody.
