Music makes friends' is het motto van de PURMERADE, het vierjaarlijkse internationale festival voor jeugdorkesten dat in 1994 in Purmerend wordt gehouden. De compositie bestaat uit een zevental vatiaties op een Duits liefdesliedje. Het is het verplichte werk voor de PURMERADE in 1994. De moeilijkheidsgraad werd aangepast aan het gemiddelde niveau van de deelnemende orkesten. Dit betekent dat het voor de één een grotere inspanning zal betekenen dan voor de ander, maar dat het uitvoerbaar is voor alle orkesten.De instrumentatie is zowel voor harmonie, fanfare als voor brass band. Er zijn twee verschillende 'sets' uitgegeven. Eén voor harmonie en één voor fanfare of brass band.

Music makes friends' is the motto of the PURMERADE, the four-yearly international youth band festival, taking place again in 1994. The composition is based on seven variations on a German lovesong and is the test piece for the 1994 PURMERADE.The degree of difficulty has been adapted to the average level of the participating bands. Although some bands will have to make greater efforts, the work can be played by all bands. There are seperate instrumentations available for symphonic wind band, fanfare band and brassband.

La Musique engendre l'Amitié' est la devise de la PURMERADE, le festival quadriennal international d'orchestres juniors dont la prochaine édition aura lieu en 1994 à Purmerend. La composition comprend sept variations sur une chanson d'amour allemande et elle est l'oeuvre imposée au festival PURMERADE de 1994. Le degré de difficulté a été adapté au niveau moyen des orchestres participants. Quoique l'effort sera plus grand pour certains orchestres, l'oeuvre peut être jouée par tous.Elle a été orchestrée aussi bien pour orchestre d'harmonie que pour fanfare ou brassband. Il existe un matériel harmonie et un matériel fanfare ou brassband.

Musik macht Freunde' ist das Motto der PURMERADE, des vierjährlichen internationalen Festivals für Jugendorchester, das 1994 wieder stattfinden wird. In dieser Komposition, das Pflichtstück der PURMERADE 1994, gibt es sieben Variationen über ein deutsches Liebeslied. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad wurde dem Durchschnittsniveau der teilnehmenden Orchester angepasst. Obwohl die Anstrengung für jene Orchester grösser sein wird, ist das Stück für alle Orchester spielbar. Es wurde für Symphonisches Blasorchester, für Fanfarenorchester und für Brassband instrumentiert. Das Notenmaterial kann separat bestellt werden.
