Pavane by Arbeau (1589)

Thoinot Arbeau was a French cleric (1520 – 1595) He is most famous for his Orchésographie, a study of late sixteenth-century French Renaissance social dance. He was born in Dijon.

(This Pavane is the same tune made famous by Warlock in his Capriol Suite)

Gymnopodie No. 1

Erik Satie's most famous work for piano arranged for Flexible ensemble.
A much requested piece for weddings, formal functions, concerts and recitals.

March to the Scaffold

An arrangement of three main themes from March to the Scaffold (Marche au Supplice) the 4th Movement from Symphonie fantastique by Berlioz.

A simplified arrangement of just the main tunes to give less experienced players the opportunity to play this great music

Panis Angelicus

This arrangement of Franck's famous vocal solo was intended originally for Trombone and Orchestra but will work equally well with other suitable instruments in the solo role ('cello, bassoon, euphonium, violin , clarinet etc) and if necessary just a quartet accompaniment.

All these arrangements are suitable for school orchestras and ensembles. The arrangements allow for a great deal of flexibility in presentation and will sound complete with as few as four players yet the scoring allows for expansion up to a full symphonic orchestra, concert band or brass band

As with all music available from Opus 3 Music these arrangements have been well tried and tested in performance.
