This etude moves beyond conventional walking patterns, incorporating angular intervallic motion, Baroque-inspired implied counterpoint, and forward-driving voice-leading that deepens both harmonic and melodic awareness.
The chart includes a number of common substitute chord changes, all clearly indicated in the notation. These reharmonized moments create fresh tension-and-release opportunities and encourage bassists to think more compositionally about navigating minor blues progressions.
