Mozart's 29th is one of the most elegant and approachable symphonies in the classical period repertoire, but cannot easily be approached by high school orchestras because of the instrumentation (strings with oboes and horns only), which excludes much of the woodwind and all of the brass. This arrangement includes full woodwind and brass sections, who share in the melodic interest, alongside the string parts which are almost identical to the original.
