Mother and Child Piano Method - Digital Sheet Music

Piano, Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.998797

Composed by Robert A. Howard. This edition: pdf. 21st Century, Classical, Contemporary, Contest, Festival, Instructional. Score. 2 pages. Robert A. Howard #6049643. Published by Robert A. Howard (A0.998797).

This simple piano miniature is based on the common sculptural theme of the mother and child (and more specifically a wood carving of this by Peter McGann). A five-note ostinato in the bass represents the circling, rocking motion of a cradled child. The ostinato enables contrasting lines to emerge around this constant element. The piece is highly accessible and is appropriate for most standards of pianist, including students and advanced players.
Duration: 1 minute 30 seconds.
Registered with PRS (Performing Rights Society, UK).
