Morning Song for School Choir, Piano, Flute (or Recorder), and Percussion 2-Part - Digital Sheet Music

This is a setting of a hymn called "Morning" from the English Book of Common Prayer by W. Canton, which is giving thanks to our Lord for the beginning of a new day. I have scored this hymn to be sung by a primary school choir at the beginning of the school day with the music teacher playing piano and other children playing simple, supportive percussive rhythms. The hymn combines a gentle habanera rythmn together with an English folk song called The Dark Eyed Sailor. The folk song was collected in the early 20th centuary by Ralph Vaughan Williams in the East Anglia region of England. I used this folk song as a tribute to the school for whom this hymn was originally composed.
