Written for the Church By The Sea in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to celebrate the organ, new stops just added, and future work to renew the instrument, the premiere was given by organist Chris Kane on Sunday, Janualy 15, 2023. The opening "Psalm" is based on the hymn tune "Bunessan", known to most as "Morning Has Broken". The second movement is "Celebration", giving the organists a chance to feature many sounds and solo voices, with only a few hints at the "Bunessan" hymn tune, without stating it directly. It was written and recorded here on a two manual instrument, and the movements were designed to work together or independently. I hope you enjoy playing it!
