The arrangement is written for four cellos, with the addition of an optional very easy fifth part, allowing younger or less experienced players to participate or reinforcing the ensemble sound.
To better suit the natural register of the cello, the piece has been transposed to G major, while preserving the bright and lyrical character of the original work.
The main parts are of intermediate difficulty:
Cello 1 and 2 reach 6th position and carry most of the main melodic material
Cello 3 mainly provides harmonic support, with a few brief melodic passages
Cello 4 has a more stable accompanying role, supporting the harmonic foundation
