Morning Joy – Violin Solo is for an intermediate violinist, and sounds great with guitar or piano accompaniment, or both. Originally written as a flute and guitar duet, the piano part was added to broaden the possibilities of who might be able to play it. It sounds like a classically written folk song since some of the chord progressions are modal.
Morning Joy – Violin Solo is presented as an intermediate level piece. Although the rhythms are not complicated, it covers a two-octave range and has a few wide jumps. The key was chosen to make it as player-friendly as possible for a violinist.
The piano part is also playable by an intermediate student, making it a good duet piece for concert for two students. As unpretentious as it is, it also makes a great wedding piece.
The music comes with a separate Piano Part to cut down on page turns.
