This is an arrangement in a choral style where there is plenty of counterpoint for each string quartet member to weave in and out of the texture and at times play as two duo-subunits interweaving with each other. It should be within the capabilities of a post-elementary quartet working towards an intermediate standard, but of course not limited to only these, as judiciously executing the contrapuntal interplay should provide for closer discussion and collaboration between the players, thus giving an opportunity for closer and tighter ensemble performance.
The arrangement is particularly suitable for a wedding-type ceremony, or an event of a nostalgic or walk-down-memory-lane nature, eg an anniversary (wedding, landmark birthday etc.)
