"Misty" is a jazz standard written and recorded in 1954 by Erroll Garner originally as an instrumental work. Lyrics were added and it has been covered by many artists including Johnny Mathis, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Ray Stevens - and even recently by Laufey. (The instrumental version was used in the 1971 film "Play Misty for Me.") As is our tradition, all 3 instruments of the Trio get to solo on the melody.
