A march written to commemorate the success of Operation Desert Storm in 2003. The title echoes the large banner displayed on the USS Abraham Lincoln where President George W. Bush gave a televised victory speech.
Initially meant as a sincere tribute to the victory, the march now serves as an ironic reminder that wars do not always conclude as quickly as we might expect, yield the results we might desire, nor even conform to our leaders' descriptions of them.
Musically, the piece is a straightforward march in traditional form with some quasi-Middle Eastern musical elements.
