These four Baroque regal fanfares from 1686 for the court of French Royal Highness Louis XIV, originally for trumpets, oboes and timpani, now arranged for antiphonal B-flat trumpet quartets with timpani will transport the audience back to stately Baroque court ceremonial music. The four fanfares include the brilliant and gloriously pompous Fanfare pour le Carrousel Royal followed by a Minuet, Gigue, and Gavotte. Alternate trombone parts are included for the lowest trumpet parts to enhance the resonance of the ensemble.
