Mile High
This piece sounds impressive with its minor key, doubled low bass melody and chords going up by octaves on the piano. The middle section is a nice contrast. It's a great piece!Students need to be physically able to reach the pedals and to move easily from the very low notes on the piano to higher, and I have had younger students who had difficulty with this. A great deal of body balance is required, so this is not a piece for physically small children (ages 6-7), even though in other respects they may have the technical ability to play the piece.
