The song "Midnight in Paris" was written by Con Conrad and Herb Magidson, but Magidson is often credited as a lyricist for other famous songs, and a Wikipedia page for Magidson confirms his collaboration on several songs, though this one isn't listed among them. Magidson is a lyricist known for winning the first Academy Award for Best Original Song for his lyrics to "The Continental" with Con Conrad. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements - we hope you like what we've done with this classic tune from 1935!
