La presente edizione del Metodo di Vaccaj è stata condotta sulle due copie autografe conservate nella Biblioteca Comunale Filelfica di Tolentino , siglate e datate nell’ultima pagina «Originale di N.Vaccaj Londra 1833». Il primo autografo (22 carte) contiene la versione italiana e inglese delle lezioni e servì probabilmente per la prima edizione del Metodo, pubblicata a Londra nel 1834 a spese dell’autore. La seconda copia (19 carte) reca solo la versione italiana con successiva aggiunta, su fogli di carta incollati alle pagine della traduzione francese, e servì probabilmente per l’edizione milanese del 1837 con testo italiano e francese a fronte .
