Lovely Music; Inferior Engraving
This collection is great for flutists who play at an intermediate level or above. The pieces are beautiful and appropriate for Christmastime. My only complaint is that so many notes are crowded on a line that it's really tricky to read all the ledger lines, especially with the 16th note figures.

Messiah ar Christmas but great any season
I ordered this and then ordered the piano accompanyment book, after listening to a Messiah recording and wishing there were versions of some of the melodies I could play. I am very happy with this book. I would also say to a flute player with limited skill that there can be a lot of satisfaction here. The notes are easy to play, the challenge is playing them sweetly to do them justice. My favorite tune in it is the Pastoral Symphony. I have offered to play it in my church, and I hope they take me up on it.
