Messe a trois voix - Clarinet Trio by Andre Caplet Clarinet Trio - Sheet Music

By Andre Caplet
Clarinet Trio Clarinet (3 Bb Clarinets) - Level 4

SKU: BZ.ENMS-84095

Composed by Andre Caplet. Arranged by Kenichi Masakado. Chamber Music. Ensemble. Score & parts. Duration 17:30. Bravo Music #ENMS-84095. Published by Bravo Music (BZ.ENMS-84095).

This work was originally composed for three-part chorus (a cappella) from 1919 to 1920. The composer Capre is often mentioned today due to his friendship with Debussy (premiering and arranging many works). In his 40-plus years of life, he left many tranquil and mystical sound works. Especially his choir and religious songs are representative of his style. This "Messe à trois voix" is one of such works, and it is a masterpiece with high introspection.
This piece, which consists of five songs, "Kyrie," "Gloria," "Sanctus," "Agnus Dei," and "O Saltaris," is almost faithfully transferred from the original. Since originally for voice, the range is not so great, but high expressiveness is required. We hope that you will experience the "microcosm" consisting of only three voices. At the same time, I would like you to review the Gregorian chant and medieval polyphony studied by Capre.
(Ken'ichi Masakado).
