'Message from Julius Eastman' .For pianist and recitation. This work is a series of musical memories in the form of a dialogue taken from old tape cassette phone conversations and edited bits of memory of my friend Julius Eastman in conversation with me before he died. The work is a memorial. The work was first perfomed by the composer in the short version (less text) at Spectrum in New York,2016 and its first complete performance took place in Berlin 2018 by the composer with the full text, followed by Eastman's 'Hail Mary" written for the composer.
