A pure joy to play! I am using this book as a supplement to my beloved John Thompson's Modern Course For The Piano-Book 2. I plan on buying Melody All the Way-book 2a soon! I am very happy with purchase!

Favorite Grade 2 Book
The pieces in this book are simply wonderful, much better than the ones in the red course. The book opens with a wonderful rendition of the New World Symphony (final movemebt) and concludes with the final section of Tchaikowsky's Bb Concerto. Rachmaninoff's Prelude in Gm, Grieg's Concerto in Am (opening theme) and Brahms Hungarian Dance #5 are some other great selections. Several good numbers develop arpeggio playing. One can transition back to the red course for grade 3 if desired, or one can continue through grade 3b.
