The Better Thompson Course
Many of the problems of the older red course (gaps especially) are corrected in this alternate course. It works better as a stand alone course than with the red course, because the order of topics is different between the two. The pieces in this course are almost all taken from classical masterworks, with outstanding arrangements. The progression is much smoother, without the gaps that hamper the red course.Favorite arrangements:Song of IndiaPolish Dance (Scharwenka)Minuet in G (Paderewski)Valse (Durand)Soldiers March (Schumann original)Great way to expose students to the classics.
