nice book for students
I have taught oboe for more than 15 years and I like to use this book as a bridge from the beginner level stuff (ie. Gekeler) to the more advanced stuff (ie. Selected Studies book or Ferling book or various concertos).The etudes comprise a wide variety of key signatures, rhythms and styles. The first few pages are straightforward but do get progressively more challenging.Unfortunately, there aren't lots of oboe method books (compared to flute books or violin books); this one is a valuable find!!!
