Composed by P. R. Frederick. Arranged by P. R. Frederick. Contemporary. Saxophone Duet. 2 pages. P. R. Frederick #1072198. Published by P. R. Frederick (A0.1495674).

Melodie uses nothing more intricate than dotted eighth-sixteenth rhythms. It is written as a saxophone duet for like saxophones. Written in ABA form it opens with a lilting melody against a contrapuntal part. The B section is much more flowing and dynamically softer in the relative minor key. This is an excellent piece to use to teach contrasting styles and accurate articulation. This would make a great addition to any school concert or community program.
