The title is not actually Hawaiian words but phonetic version of Merry Christmas using Hawaiian phonemes. Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters were the first to record the song in 1950. This arrangement makes the song more approachable for less experienced players. It includes optional note names, an easier key, and valve position numbers to assist in learning it.
