Medleys for Blended Worship, Bk 1
Book was described on the web page as advanced. Intermediate at best. Song list on the web page lists 16 songs--book has 10 . Not impressed!

Nice Collection
I recommend this book. It is marked Early Advanced. This is a very useful book, perfect for a congregation that likes the old hymns but is being transitioned to contemporary music. I use this for preludes. The arrangements are mostly easily learned but not usually sightread. There are many pieces in the book that are so workable, not like some books with only 1 or 2 that end up usable. The print is large enough to be very usable.

I found at least 7 of these medleys that will be recognized by parishioners. I particularly love that On Eagle's Wings appears for the first time that I am aware of in Carol Tornquist's arrangements of these old and new favorites.

Good variety
I plan to use some of these arrangements soon. They are easy to read and a good combination of new and old. They will be good for preludes and offertories. I enjoyed sitting down to read through them when I received the book.

Interesting arrangements
I really like the arrangements in this book. They're fairly easy, so work up quickly. The first Sunday I played some of them before church, the pastor commented in the great combination of contemporary songs with oldies. An excellent balance for my congregation.
