The theme of this medley is about oneself being related to being wild (referring to nature as opposed to behavior). The songs and their lyrics refer to table spaces, social graces, being pioneers, own rules, no bias, no buyers (to what someone is selling), gather the rebels, singing aloud, empty chairs, we can’t sit there, fine all by ourselves, our drum, how we dance, 808s (referring to the Roland TR-808 drum machine), leaving us alone, policies, no apologies, being alright, don’t mind us, true nature’s child, born to be wild, climbing so high, never wanting to die.
This thoughtfully crafted arrangement has two varied styles – one is moderate modern pop that zips into high energy sixties rock. This arrangement includes a dance break, overlapping melodies and a vocal splash at the end. This arrangement is designed for high school or college show choir, concert choir or community choir.
