• The Battle Un brano energico e incalzante che accompagna la battaglia iniziale contro i Germani. Unisce percussioni immaginate, ottoni imponenti e un ritmo serrato, creando un senso di caos controllato e di eroismo. Nella versione per brass quintet, la potenza degli ottoni risalta in maniera ancora più diretta.
• Slaves to Rome Atmosfera cupa e riflessiva, con toni malinconici che evocano la prigionia e la perdita di libertà. Trasposto per quintetto di ottoni, il brano assume un colore ancora più grave e introspettivo, mettendo in evidenza linee melodiche profonde e solenni.
• Am I Not Merciful? Brano altamente drammatico, legato al personaggio di Commodo. Alterna momenti delicati a esplosioni emotive, riflettendo tensione, potere e fragilità. Nella versione per brass quintet, la contrapposizione tra toni morbidi e sonorità più dure crea un effetto particolarmente intenso.
• Barbarian Horde Un pezzo epico e ritmicamente vigoroso che accompagna l’azione nel Colosseo. Nel quintetto di ottoni la componente percussiva viene suggerita dal ritmo degli strumenti, mentre gli ottoni stessi esaltano la natura eroica e battagliera del tema.
