This poem, which brings a sense of small comfort with the torment that goes back and forth between you and me, the unresolved regret, and the sound of water in the deep mountain valley, shows the relative nature of you and me. Composer tried to symbolically cross these two personalities by setting them in descending and ascending tones. The same goes for the tones of the 3/4 piano parts that appear here and there. I hope it will be played with deep philosophical thoughts and sincerity.
